Linda came in in October of 2020. He was bonded to his mate, Bob, and they were adopted as a pair. Bob tragically passed away in their adopted home and Linda became recluse and depressed. Instead of getting him a new mate, he was returned to us depressed and in GI stasis. Linda is very skittish of humans and is hard to handle for simple grooming. He is also on a special diet.

Charles

Age: 5 years old
Breed: Dwarf
Size: Small
Specific Needs: Special Diet
Charles is a sweet boy who came to us happy and healthy as a baby bunny someone just “didn’t have time for” in November of 2020. He was adopted and returned in June 2022 after he developed malocclusion. He has since had his incisors removed and needs regular checks on his molars so we can get them ground down as needed. He is on a special diet.

Ghost
Status: Sanctuary Resident, bonded to Quark
Age: 5 years
Size: Large
Specific Needs: None
Ghost was surrendered in October of 2020 almost completely starved to death. Her mate and her were intentionally not fed by the parents as a punishment to their child who was supposed to be caring for the rabbits. Her mate she was being surrendered with did not survive. Ghost was emaciated, had pasteurella and E. cuniculi, we weren’t sure she would even survive the car ride to the vet.
Quark
Status: Sanctuary resident, bonded to Ghost
Age: 9 years
Breed: Polish/Hotot
Size: Small
Specific Needs: None
Quark is one of two original bunnies still living that were saved by Bundad before starting the rescue and was kept as a pet. He has been with us his entire life and is providing a loving relationship to his lady, Ghost.

Beatrix
Status: Sanctuary resident, bonded to Norman
Age: 5 years
Breed: Flemish Giant
Size: Large
Specific Needs: None
Beatrix was caught as a stray with her two brothers in April of 2020, discarded after the kids were done with their “Easter Gifts”. Her brothers were adopted out, but Bea girl was in the right place at the right time, and became best friends with sanctuary resident, Norman. Norman had just lost his mate and was grieving terribly but fell enamored with Bea immediatelty.

Norman
Status: Sanctuary resident, bonded to Beatrix
Age: 9 years
Breed: Jersey Wooly
Size: Tiny
Specific Needs: Daily medications
Norman was caught by Bundad as a stray in May of 2016. He was dumped with the rest of his brothers and sisters outside after what we are guessing is kids getting tied of their “Easter gifts” but since no one witnessed the dump, we don’t know. Norman is brachycephalic meaning his snout is shortened. This causes him issues with inflammation in his airways and is on daily medication for life.

Tosen
Status: Forever foster eligible, bonded to Howard
Age: 7 years
Breed: English Spot
Size: Large
Specific Needs: None
Tosen was caught as a stray in July 2019 and delivered 11 babies shortly after. We lost one at day 1, and let her “keep” one of her daughters, Howard, and adopted out the other 9. This mom and daughter duo started all of Hay Monsters.

Howard
Status: Forever foster eligible, bonded to Tosen.
Age: 6 years
Breed: Mix
Size: Large
Specific Needs: Megacolon, blind in both eyes
Howard was born with Hay Monsters in July 2019. She was the one baby we decided to let mama Tosen “keep”. She has a very mild case of megacolon which means her diet must be monitored closely and we act fast with medications when she gets “off her schedule”.

Doppler
Status: Forever foster eligible, bonded to Pearl
Age: 5 years
Breed: Magpie Harlequin
Size: Medium
Specific Needs: Immune support, breathing treatments, special diet
Doppler came to us as an owner surrender in February of 2021 with two of his sisters and brother. The others were adopted but Doppler has a chronic upper respiratory infection we can’t get rid of. Butter was adopted and returned because he started showing signs of a very big medical problem right away. He developed glaucoma at a young age which has already resulted in the need for us to have both of his eyes removed.

Hank
Status: In Forever Foster
Age: 9 years
Breed: Holland lop
Size: Medium
Specific Needs: Special diet, frequent vet visits
Hank was found outside in Southfield, MI as a stray. It was immediately evident that he needed medical attention. His teeth grow out of his mouth crooked (what we call maloclussion in rabbits) so he goes to see Dr Fear every month to get them all filed down nice!
Hank has found his forever fosters, and is living his best life with Rachelle and Richard!
